Awesome. I didn’t actually know if Hobby Lobby or Michaels would carry them as I don’t think I’ve ever seen them there before, but honestly it’s probably because I’ve never actively looked for them. This will probably be my last resort as the closest of either of these is 35 minutes away from my house (and mom is on the whole family about saving gas). Using a metal dowel is a great idea and one I was thinking about probably doing just because it seemed like the easiest.  And at first I was just thinking about using pins, but I didn’t know if it would work for a large shawl. I would love to hear other people’s opinions on pins v. blocking wires and whether or not you found them necessary. :o And thanks so much guys! I really appreciate it.
