These are my favorite socks I’ve ever knitted, and the only hand-knitted socks I actually wear around on a regular basis. I’ve had the first pair for over a year and they’ve held up really well to regular use and washing.

The first pair are unapologetically Space Husbands Socks. I actually really like the idea of shipping socks, and I want to make more someday, because they can come as a pair…or if you have a lot of ships, you could mix and match them however you want!

The second pair was just made to show off and use up that contrast yarn, and I only took pictures of one because the other is half-finished, but they’ll be a matching set because I don’t have a corresponding gold yarn to use.

30 Day Knitting Challenge: Day 2

Day 2: What is currently on your needles?

I usually work on a few projects at a time.

which are the socks for my friend. That I can’t actually show. Until she gets them. So…yep. 

The Christmas socks I am probably going to frog. Because they don’t fit and I don’t want to give them away. 8C I’ll figure out something to do with them. 

I’m alive and I’m knitting.

Update tomorrow. Maybe.

I’m debating on whether or not to post WIP pictures of my friend’s socks. She knows she’s getting them, but I’m sort of adding more than just the owl cable at the cuff so I don’t really want her to see them until I’m done and I’m pretty sure she follows this blog. Which is why I’m not sure if there will be updates soon. I want to get those (or at least one of them) finished before I start to work on something else. We’ll see. 

Also! I finally got my knitpicks package in the mail. I was gonna buy a pair of the new sunstruck needles, but it was cheaper overall for me to just order two pairs of metal ones. I’m glad I ordered them because my kitten got to my other pair and chewed them the fuck up. Ugh I was so pissed. 8C 

I also got some “bare” yarn, so it’s solid white. I plan on using that on the next pair of socks I knit to make stripes. I am excited.
