Tumblr Post Icon Knitting Charts

My original idea for these was to turn them into a scarf, including the tumblr t-logo. They’re worked over 30 st. wide with varying heights, but that’s easily fixed if you want them equidistant.

Not that I ever want to knit it. But, charts for my followers. :D

I meant to post this earlier, but better late than never I suppose.  This is the stuff I got when I was out on Saturday with Mom. My favorite thing of course being the magnetic chart holder. I have wanted one for forever. The pattern is a sweater Mom wants me to knit for her and the yarns are for personal side projects (finally my own stuffs. haah) I found out that there is a small fiber fair near where I live in April, so I am super excited to go!  Also, pictures of the blocked and finished (AS)Shawl (hopefully) sometime tomorrow. Gotta get my brother to model for me again and so long as it’s sunny I see no other reason pictures won’t happen! :D

30 Day Knitting Challenge: Day 24

Day 25: Do you have a knitting book or a place where you keep patterns, ideas, size measurements? Post a picture of it!

I doooo! I actually have a few, but these are the ones that I use the most:

My main pattern notebook. This used to be for school. I didn’t have the internet in my apartment so I would always print patterns out and save them in here for whenever I needed them. 

and this smaller notebook. I use this one for when I’m traveling. It fits in my knitting bag and I can write patterns on here for when I’m knitting things that will take a while. I can just write down the repeats or the lace and carry it with me until I need the rest of the pattern. :3

It’s for sock patterns….obviously.

Tonight (and further Thursdays unless I forget…which, hahaha, probably will at least once) shall be pattern days.

Gonna post different patterns with varying topics. I probably won’t limit this to just Thursdays as that’s a huge gap of days, but if I don’t have a lot of patterns or topics to post it really won’t matter. haha

Tonight’s will be: Beginner patterns.

I’m giving this blog a purpose. 

Also, the patterns don’t necessarily have to be limited to knitting, I’m open to whatever, but seeing as how this is primarily a knitting blog, that is what I’ll mostly be focusing on. 

Today was surprisingly awesome.

We got to the expo and I was just about ready to leave haha. My mom bought a good deal of stuff, mostly patterns. I managed to get a really awesome basket for my knitting. It’s free trade from Ghana and very pretty. 

After we left there I asked mom if we could stop off at a knitting store not to far from there. She said we could, but when we got there we found out that the whole street had been blocked off for “Pig Fest.” It was really just a BBQ festival. I didn’t really care for it and the yarn shop ended up being closed because of it. xD 

I also made a friend. She commented on my Sherlock shirt and we pretty much geeked out while my mom looked around. It was awesome. 

After we left there Mom suggested we go see Rock of Ages. I’m super happy because it was AWESOME!!!!!! The music was amazing. 

We got to the theater an hour or so early so we went to the A.C. Moore near it and mom bought me a book with knitted slipper patterns and some yarn. The chunky Patons yarn is for slippers for her and my brother’s gf and her mom and the sock yarn is for me. I’m glad I got yarn anyway. haha

Over all it was a great day. I’m glad I decided to go with her. :3

My babies!

I am sorry for my lack of posting (I seem to apologize for it a lot, do you guys even notice? :o ) but I have been having personal issues (work/ohmygodI’mgonnadie cramps) so I’ve been a little slow. Though, seeing as how it’s raining I have a feeling today is going to be awesome, at least a little bit, anyway.

I will update tonight after work and then probably post a note planning out my next few projects. I still haven’t been able to get my hands on those patterns, but I’m trying. I’m still hoping someone will trade them to me or I’d be happy to mail cash to anyone that would be willing to purchase it for me. :)
