I finished a thing.

I kind of maybe stopped working on my friend’s sock and frogged it to knit another sock (I really need to order those spare needles) because I just really wanted to use the yarn. 

And I’m kind of glad I did, because it is so soft and nice. I will post a picture tomorrow for sure. Too tired now. 

And I promise I will start on my friend’s sock (again) when I wake up. Because I’ll start to feel bad if I don’t. xD

Updates on projects tonight

I’ve been super busy/sick and haven’t really felt like crafting/updating, but I have been working on a thing or two and will post pictures of those tonight.

I want to post pictures of my completed shawls, but it’s been raining here and the lack of sun is making for shitty photographs. x.x I’ll try again today and see how it goes. I’m reallly very fond of them even if I don’t know that i’ll ever wear them.

But, I’m off to work for now and I know I always ask for asks, but I get so freaking bored and they’re so nice to open my page too.

So if you need any help with any kind of project or personal issue or just wanna say hi, I’m all ears.

Yesterday I was so happy.

But I can just tell that today is not going to be a good day and I just don’t know what to do.

I really want to go home, but I have work. I’ve been here all week by myself because my supervisor is on vacation on a fishing trip so I’ve been holding down the fort.

I have one more person that’s supposed to come by and pick up some shirts that we printed earlier this week and my supe said that I could leave after she stops by. I really hope that she doesn’t wait until right before 5 because that’s just really shitty. I know she has the day off so hopefully she’ll be by soon.

I also have Mom on my case about college. I have one more class to take because I apparently missed making my GPA for my minor high enough by .07 points (Seriously, what the actual fuck, you could have just given me the fucking points) so I have to retake my ECON class to raise it a letter grade to pass my minor. I don’t mind retaking the class, not at all, but Mom is like, “You have to call them. You have to call them today. Don’t come home having not called them.” and I just want to cry. I have such trouble using the phone. I’m fucking terrified of them. I’m really just glad that as I was leaving for work I passed my dad on our driveway and he talked to me and calmed me down. I really appreciate my dad at those times. I’m so very glad that I have him.

Anyway, sorry for this rant. Probably no knitting update till later as I actually have a few more things to work on, you know at work. haha

Fashion Show (“Senior Showcase”):

So the fashion show is tomorrow and then I can sleep forever. Only not, because I still have to do my final portfolio. But that’s totally okay because it’s on the computer and I would rather work on that than sitting at the sewing machine for hours. 

I still have a ton to do for the show before tomorrow, but tonight is Relay for Life at Appalachian State so I’m probably gonna head on over that way for an hour or two after work. Then home to SEW UNTIL MY FINGERS BLEED!! Or until I pass out. Whichever is first. 

Either way, expect updates pertaining to computer related work rather than knitting for a while. I’m gonna try to keep up knitting, but with finals and my internship I don’t know if I’ll have time. 

My mom does want me to apparently knit her all of the things while I’m home. No idea what that even means.

It’s actually the yarn that makes it look that way. It is very simple to knit. The name of the yarn is Salsa and you can get it here http://www.iceyarns.com/salsa.

To knit it you need to “cast on”, in this case you’re just picking up, 8 stitches from back to front. And then you just knit back and forth until you’re almost out of yarn then you cast off and instead of weaving in the ends you just tie it in a knot. It’s easier to pull the yarn apart as you go. You should use slightly larger needles as their is no gauge. I have found that cable needles help to keep the stitches more under control. But straight needles work just fine. Also, be super super careful not to drop a stitch because the whole scarf will fall apart and you’ll have to start over. x.x

These instructions will probably make more sense when you have the yarn in front of you. 

If it didn’t just let me know and I’ll see if I can explain it in a different way.

So. I have an interview with a screen printing and embroidery place tomorrow (later today?) to see about getting an internship there this summer. 

I am so freaking nervous. When I called to set up a time to meet, the guy that’s supposed to be interviewing me was like, “Yeah, just call Friday and show up.” and that bothered me so bad. I don’t mind that he’s laid back, not at all, but I really think that if you’re running a business you really should have things more under control. 

And I called him by his first name. I really hate talking over the phone, really really really. I have anxiety/panic attacks just calling for take-out. So I freaked when I called and just blurted out everything. I really need to calm down, because I know that I’m good at what I do and I really want this internship. Oh well, we’ll see how it goes.

(The question is: will my sister enjoy dressing up like a zombie and having her face painted green and holding my knitting while I take some pictures..) I'm super jealous that you're a timelady. Well, I mean. You don’t want to make him mad. He may be a knitter, but he’s still a zombie, he could eat you and that would be horrible. And also sad. (That would seriously be the best thing ever. Oh my god. If that happens I need pictures. Seriously need them.)

You can be my companion. I must say up front that the fruit magic is a closely guarded secret that I am unable to share, but I can show you other things. We can visit the dinosaurs, I’m not sure why the doctor hasn’t, then again he always was such a silly boy, always getting into trouble in other ways. I suppose the dinosaurs were just to simple for him.

All my adventures tend to lean on the less dangerous side of fun, I hope that’s okay. And Sherlock? He would hardly think you’re bonkers, I traveled with him once. Then he found John and decided to stay home. I approved of John of course, I couldn’t just let my Sherly go off with some stranger. John does make a decent cup of tea, so that helped. 

(I seriously want a Doctor Who name. Just saying like, The Doctor or The Master. Someone give me one. Seriously, maybe I can think of one. Oh god then this conversation would never stop)

Q:Just because it said to question your sanity, and I therefore must: do you find yourself knitting oranges over and over and expecting to, on time, end up with an apple? Or a grapefruit? Sorry, I just couldn't resist. Also, I like that your posts are from the future (on your page, it says what time things are posted. Some are after 7:42 pm (which is what time it is here..)) :D Also, there's a Zombie named Zoid who lives down the street from me and he's actually a pretty good knitter. Night! :)

I wish, that would be so cool. I would be the magic fruit knitter. Or something! You would never receive the fruit you ask for, you will only receive the fruit you need. 

I am secretly a Time Lord (Lady). I was just hopping around the space-time stream and stopped off a bit for some tea and bananas and decided post a few things. So, if it happens again that’s why. 

ZOMBIE! Is it really a zombie? Because, I happen to know, from a very reliable source, that zombies are not very good at knitting, but I suppose I could take your word for it. 

This happened to me once. Actually, it tends to happen whenever I do cables. I am notorious for messing up cabling. Usually I get the directions backwards so my cable is twisted the wrong way and I have to go back so many rows to fix it. When I make mistakes normally I tend to leave them, but cables are so noticeable it would drive me crazy.  Best thing to do if it bothers you is take a deep breath and tink back and fix it. No worries.  Most things in knitting are fixable to an extent. :3
